Overview
The lesson entails having students measure, record, chart, and evaluate the soil moisture and temperature of school gardens.
Objectives
Students will:
- Measure and evaluate which parts of the garden soil or planter soil are retaining moisture and heat during the day.
- Evaluate which plants would be most appropriate for planting based on the soil moisture and temperature level.
- Research and engineer the ideal soil for the school garden.
