FAITC’s Inaugural Recipe Contest Was a Success

Florida Agriculture in the Classroom held it’s first recipe contest this spring. The goal of this project is to expose students to growing their own produce and encourage healthy eating habits. Students and teachers worked together to create easily replicated, healthy recipes that teach students healthy cooking skills and introduce fun ways to eat garden produce.

We had many delicious recipe entries and three winners were chosen. Congratulations to Christa McCauliffe Middle, Joella C. Good Elementary and Dr. NH Jones Elementary for being our winners!

The recipe book will be available later this summer. Thank you to all who participated in the competition this year.
